As the name indicates, the Ceramic Butter Keeper is an old French country kitchen staple to keep butter soft. Press a stick of butter into the lid portion and add a small bit of water to the bottom to create an airtight seal. Just be sure to change out the water every couple of days. When setting a table the lid becomes a lovely serving crock.
